Harvey Lefton Luminary of the Year Award
The Harvey Lefton Gastroenterology Luminary of the Year Award recognizes an individual or individuals who have made exceptional contributions to improving their community through selfless service, dedication, and effective action. Those selected have been recognized for their commitment to improving the lives of those around them and exemplify the spirit of community, compassion, and leadership. This award highlights the invaluable work of someone who goes above and beyond to address social, environmental, educational, and economic challenges, fostering unity and empowerment.
This award is in honor of Dr. Harvey Lefton, who was a founding member of the Pennsylvania Society of Gastroenterology, as well as an advocate for healthcare in Philadelphia and the state of Pennsylvania.
2025 F. Wilson Jackson, III, MD
Program Director of the Year Award
The Program Director award highlights a program director who made a significant impact in their role and is a leading example of dedication, innovation, creativity, leadership, teamwork, advocacy, crisis management, and role modeling. The recipient can be a PD or APD for the three year fellowship or any one year fellowship within GI who has demonstrated excellence in their leadership, creativity, and innovation within their GI program.
2025 Kimberly Chaput, DO
Fellow of the Year Award
This award recognizes a fellow who has gone above and beyond within their fellowship – as a mentor, educator or researcher. This fellow can be nominated by their Program Director, Division Chief or a co-fellow.
